Tractor
I don’t own a tractor yet, looking to buy.
I have an LS MT225S tractor with a belly mower attachment. One of the springs broke that holds the back left side of the mower deck in place. There’s some kind of cotter pin that holds the plate in place for the spring to push against. How does that pin get removed and what size spring do I need?

If you are talking about the long pin in the picture, it is Roll pin and you drive it out with hammer and a punch in most cases. Those long unsupported ends like to bend during the process. I'd have a new one on hand.
You should be able to look up the spring part number on the LS Tractor site.

Remove it with a hammer and punch. A larger punch to get it flush to the latch pin and a smaller punch to push it through the latch pin. Be careful not to bend the roll pin when hammering on it.
