I know spring is near. As I leave for work each day I notice the pot holes in my 1800' plus gravel drivway and wonder what better ways there are to take care of it. I currently use a cheap tractor supply rear blade a western snow plow mounted on my loader. and the bucket with home made theeth. then I came across this. and thought I wonder if i use that to break up the gravel and the divets if I could do a better job of grading. When I see the county in there graders there set up is the Scarifiers on the front then the belly blade I was seeing if anyone has used these and wonder if they are cheaper than buying a box blade or rake. I figure if my blade does not fit it like the landpride one is designed to do I could rip than attach the blade and level will take a little more on off the tractor but oh well. Any one have one or know what price range these start at.

Other options would be to consider the driveway groomer (mentioned on this website), TR3 rake, or the new Dr power equipment driveway groomer. The driveway groomer I saw advertized was about $700.00 and the new DR groomer is under $1000.00. I believe the TR3 rake is about $3,000.00.
I have no experience with any of these but have thought about the plain driveway groomer as it is the least expensive. I have been tempted by the TR3 rake as this can also be used to level and grade fields.

The groomer is great if you do not have pots holes. The implement you show in your attachement would work great. The key with potholes is that have to be dug out in my experience. You can not simply fill them back in or you will see the same thing, same places in a matter of months. I use a box blade and lower the teeth dig out all around the hole and the back fill and pack, pack, pack.

One your drive has a good foundation I use crushenrun mix and it gets nice and pack then I load on a layer of #67 rock.
