I've planted these tress myself: 15 oaks, 2 black gum, 2 bay magnolia, 8 crabapple, 6 pear, 5 mulberry, 6 longleaf pine, 2 chestnut.
Still have some dogwoods, redbugs, blackberries and blueberries to plant.

And hired out the planting of 15 acres of loblolly pine.

I also burn wood as my primary heat source.

My past food plots have been hit and miss. This year I'm trying a spring plot of Lab-Lab. Plus just took soil samples and will be sending those out this week. I've never applied lime in the past so planning on getting a ton of that to spread on the one acre field I'm working. That will depend on the sample results, but I'm thinking I need lime. Any way, the property got hit with 4" of snow today so seems odd to be getting ready to disc etc. The last spring frost is May so I have some time to get ready....

We also got a little snow today, I got my soil samples back a couple weeks ago, yesterday I bought the lime and fertilizer needed.
Still need to clean up my latest plot and level it a bit once it dries up a little.

If I follow the directions closely, everything I've planted from Whitetail institute has come up and the deer love it.
