I"m looking to install a sprinkler system for my garden plot. I will use a BX tractor w/implements. With that said please let me know what should be done so as to not run the risk of uprooting my system as I change my little garden annually? Or should I even use a system/type?

Thanks

Just a city boy going back to the country?

Just how big is your garden going to be? If it is something like 60 X 30 ft, then a sprinkler at two corners, and a sprinkler at the 30 ft mark on the other 60 ft leg. The end sprinklers would cover from the ends to the center and sides, and the sprinkler on the other side would cover any gaps from the other sprinklers. Just don't till down the sprinkler line, or bury the line at about 18 in .

You could lay out drip irrigation also.

I did kind of what JJ said. My garden is roughly 40x40 fenced in and I ran sprinklers to the 4 corners, ran the line up the fence posts and used brackets to hold the line in place up the posts and zip tied the heads to the top of the posts, set the heads to cover the garden only and designated the garden its own zone on the system and this has worked great for me.

I agree, that unless your garden is hugenormous, you should be able to do it from the perimeter.

The original poster has not answered back on the size. Some of the sprinklers can throw water up to 45 ft with the right pressure . and that will cover a 90 ft circle. I have a couple of Golf course that will throw further than that. Perhaps a single row of sprinklers , with the supply line buried at 18 in, down the center and as long a plot as you want.

Figure out the sprinkler spread, and design your plot.

I have installed various systems but rather than try to talk through all possibilities, you can check the Hunter & Rain Bird sites. They have lots of answers and short vids too.

Guys I sure appreciate it. J.J you are one knowledgeable guy. Love Ya man.
I'm not discounting any one it's just the J.J has given a lot on any question I have presented.
My garden will be about not more than 260x 100 plus or minus I could go as much as 260'x 450'. Then again this is the first for me doing any farming. I may drop in a few trees to break up the manotony.

Thanks
