Hi. I'm new here. Question what is a reasonable square foot price for a two stall garage, concrete floor, uninsulated, 10 ft walls windows, --- labor and materials-- vinyl siding, asphalt shingles?? Thanks. Looking forward to the answers

Slide over to the projects forum and include thickness of concrete, size of "two stall". I'm looking at building a 24x36, which will cost a lot more than a 20x24, but less per sq ft. I've got big "cars".

Giving a cost for your area is difficult as each part of the country, the rates for labor and material differ greatly. For example, 4 years ago, I had a shop built with 9' 10" walls. The physical dimensions were 30 x 54. 24 feet of the 52 were 12 foot wings on dirt floor on each side with the exception of one side had a 10x12 concrete floor with 1/2 bath (commode and sink). The roof is galvalume steel, the concrete is 4" thick, the interior walls and ceiling is sealed with 3/8" plywood, 100 amp electric service with wall outlets not more than 10 feet to the nearest one any where in the shop. It is also insulated with 6" bat fiberglas in walls and ceiling. Lighting is from 6 of the 4 foot double bulb fluorescent lights plus interior and exterior double bulb flood lights. It has one 16' insulated garage door and one 10 foot insulated door and one 32" manway door plus one window in the bathroom. Exterior is 3/4" exterior grade T111 plywood and painted. Total cost was $25,500.
It is all wood structure except for the roof.

First off, welcome!

Second, you really want the projects forum for this thread...see if a mod can move it for you (this forum is for tractor pricing).

Lastly, it really depends on the construction type you plan to use...stick frame, pole barn, footing/foundation type, floor thickness, etc. I just put up a 40x64 (plus 12' lean to making it 52x64) with a 13' eave height, poured 12" thick foundation that is 42" deep, and 1/3 of the floor poured at 6" thick, radiant heat pex in the slab, drains/plumbing for a full bathroom, 4 large doors, etc and I'm around $22/sq ft so far. I suspect I'll wind up closer to $30/sq ft by the time I pour the other 2/3 of the floor, build out the bathroom/shop walls (dividing wall with overhead door for a 24x40 shop), run electric, and finish the plumbing. Pouring concrete aprons and a slab under the lean to probably would push that up, but I plan to tackle it over time, and throw away the receipts!

Hello and welcome. I would also suggest you think abut doing as much as you can yourself. If you play around on this forum you will find many folks have built smaller and much larger projects and have recieved lots of great advice on the "how to" side from people here.

Here's another data point: 24x42 ft all metal shop, 12 ft walls, two 10x10 ft roll doors, one man door, one window, uninsulated, concrete floor 6" thick, 4000 psi, #4 rebar on 24" grid. $16K for the building, $8K for the floor, both includes materials and labor. Works out to $23 per square foot.
