I had a similar issue one time and found that it was the anti-siphon fitting on the outside valve (the kind that screws on to the hose bib). Replaced it and the noise went away.

i hat those things with the darn install and break off setscrews.. makes a nightmare to remove them..

I had simalar issue with my sisters house. I come to find out the bathroom sink cold water valve wasn't opened all the way. I just opened it up all the way and the noise stopped :thumbsup:

Almost a 100% guarantee it's the anti-siphon causing the noise.

If that's the same thing as a back flow preventer on the outside spiqot that would be where my I'd bet my money a well.:thumbsup:
