Since this is my first ssqa I've dealt with, I am having an issue with the lever and pin not staying in the "up" position for when I need to hook up to something or unhook something. I am not sure if I just need to tighten up a nut or if I need to replace any of the parts of the mechanism. I assume it is something simple but I haven't taken the time yet to do anything about it because I haven't needed to put anything on the loader. Any ideas?

the ssga on my tractor started getting loose and dropping so I adjusted the spring tension using the adjuster nuts. It was trial and error type of adjustment

Mine got too tight, to where I was using a hammer to beat on the lever to open or close it. Not exactly ideal.
I examined how the lever works and made an adjustment to the nylon lock nut, now the cam over slides better. No more beating on it with a hammer.

I suspect that if you tighten that nut (or one similar), it will likely fix your problem.

I just put up with it since the nuts on my (single-handle) SSQA are corroded enough to be non-adjustable any more. I've often wondered if it would be feasible to replace the lock-unlock lever with an electric actuator, so I wouldn't be getting on and off the tractor so much.

I fixed the issue. The 2 nuts just needed to be tightened half a turn each.
