Stabilizer leak down ?

I have a new (39hrs) HST3130 w/BH90 BH,over night the stabilizers on both sides will extend to show about a 1/4 inch of chrome,if left longer they drop further. No fluid is leaking out,just bypassing internally. How much leakdown is acceptable?

Art is a dealer and that is a dealers answer!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I don't think that any amount of leak down should be acceptable at this early stage of the machines life. My 1964 Minneopolous Moline never leaked down and it was almost 40 years old. In fact, those were the only cylinders that I didn't have rebuilt, because they were never a problem. I would be bringing this to the attention of the selling dealer....... that is, if it isn't Art /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

The answer that Art gave is actually more than likely within the manufacture spec. The way tolerances on the valves stack depends on how the cylinders drop. If you will look again you will see that the poster said that the stabilizer just moved a 1/4" over night.

My 4690 backhoe stabilizers leak down fairly fast. Never measured the rate...my guess would be 6 inches overnight, maybe a bit more...

Now my loader will hang in the air forever if I don`t drop it to the ground. Others` loaders fall at some rate...

A lttle leakdown is not a great concern...at least not in my book.

Unitl it becomes a problem when you're trying to dig and keeping yourself still and maybe in the air becomes a fight. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
