After having a blocked fuel tank outlet I built a fill neck screen out of 1/8" wire (think fence wire) with a window screen liner. Its about 6 inches deep and just a bit larger diameter than the neck at the top so it will stay in place. I think the contamination came from a farm tank nozzle that a spider had built a web in. The bugs caught in the web plugged the tank.
I cannot understand why Kubota does not offer these screens since the fuel tank is basically impossible to remove for cleaning unless you disassemble a lot of the machine. I understand Kioti offers a screen which may fit.
