Tractor
Ford 1920 1972 year and a 1020 john deeri think
Is there a screw , bolt, diaphragm what ever that I can adjust the volume of fuel down , decrease the amount of fuel? It puts out to much, after maybe 5 hours of running or less the oil level increases. Its starts smoking and I change the oil very often to compensate for it. It runs perfect starts like a brand new tractor first touch of the key.
This started after my guy replaced the injector pump with this rebuilt one. I only use this tractor maybe 10 12 hours a year for bush hogging.

I have included some pictures

Thanks

I think your problem is the three fuel injectors not spraying properly. If they are squirting jets of fuel instead of atomizing it properly, the fuel will wash down the cylinder walls and end up in the crankcase. This in turn will increase the oil level in your engine.
You mention that this is a refurbished injector pump - I assume the pump shaft seal was renewed as well?
Check your PM - I'm sending a copy of the JDB manual for you to look at.

It could also be an internal bearing/seal in the pump, which is allowing fuel to escape out the gear area and get into the crank case. You may want to take the pump and injectors to a rebuilder and get them tested.

If it has a mechanical fuel pump supplying the injector pump, that could have a bad diaphragm, another source of fuel in the crankcase.

I think the inj pump shaft seal or lift pump is leaking. I'll bet injectors aren't the leaking fuel problem.

AAR UP DATE

It is not the injectors , all are great ! so we will take the injector pump off today or this weekend and check the seals . If that's good we go to the mech fuel pump which was replaced last year so it has about 20 hours on it. ( all i use the tractor for is bush hog 15 acres pasture its a John Deer 1020)

I will keep you all posted. THANK YOU all for your spot on very impressive responsive post and opinions!

If its not the injector pump or the fuel pump I may jack the fuel cap up enough to slide a new tractor under it.

THANKS AGAIN !!
