My B-I-L was re-screening his very large back porch and commented that the stapler he was using was wearing his hand out. Since I'm planning on screening in the porch on my cabin I bought a pneumatic staple gun assuming it would be a big help for both of us. I had my wife pick it up and told her to ask the salesman to show her which staples to get.
They had a Hitachi on sale so she bought it.
So we start looking at this gun and notice two things. 1) The staples are only 1/4" wide and 2) The shortest staple made for the gun is 1/2" long. It seemed to us that neither of these dimensions is good for putting screens up. So we didn't even open it up and he finished the job with a spring loaded hand stapler.
I'll have my wife take it back.
My question is, is there a pneumatic staple gun that shoots wider, shorter staples better suited to screen? The sales guy at Lowes told my wife that he did not think so.
