Driving around today I noticed several houses with a star that is about 1 foot wide, usually centered on the gable end. Can someone tell me what this means? Is it decoration or some other significance? Thanks!

In some neighborhoods, Christmas decorations don't typically come down until the 4th of July!

The star is the symbol of Texas. Obviously you have allot of Texans in your area!!! Congratulations.

Ironically, I actually saw Christmas lights on tonight...LOL

Sometimes it's a decoration, painted, wooden or iron. Often they are more complicated, especially on germanic barns (sometimes thought of as hex signs)

Sometimes it's basically a decorative iron nut that's put on a cable or threaded rod that runs through the house to the other side and set in tension to better support the gable ends especially in brick building.

The stars are signs that not all can see,you have apparently been chosen,thus you can see them,be afraid,be very afraid. thingy

They are popping up everywhere. I see them all time around here.
I tell my wife that it means those people are satanic.

I have no clue what they really mean. They aren't new age forms of The Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs are they?
