For about ten minutes, still too wet. I'm using an I.H. 37 disk, it has a box on it to put rocks in for more wieght, but I think that I'll be better off taking the rocks out, because I don't see too many disks around that even has that option. This was on a field that I plowed last fall, and theres still water sitting in the low spot, but I figured I could get the most of it. I'm going to try again tomarro if it doesn't rain today, hopefully I can get it disked because I'm working for the next two weeks striaght and I'm running out of time. I'll post pictures of the progress as it happens

Yup.. a little less weight until things dry out a bit sounds like a better approach to me. And keep a good distance from that low spot, too...

Lookin' forward to your pics.

I've been waitin' for more than a week for things to dry out around here so I can get on the ground with my Landpride ripper (I think they call it a scarifier). I need to dig up quite a few smaller tree roots on the 2 acres I cleared this past winter.

'Course I've still got lot's of frost in the ground and piles of snow that are slowly melting, too! :D So, it'll be at least 3 weeks before I can get out there and accomplish much more than spin around in the muck.

Well, it rained all day yesterday, so it's going to have to wait a few weeks. I'm still breaking up clumps of ice out in the yard were the snow piles were, but there pretty much melted now. What I wanted to do is rent a broadcast spreader and spread 45 pounds of oats, 10 pounds clover, and 10 pounds of timothy per acre, does that sound about right? I'm going to cut and bale the oats, so I figure if I get them in the ground by June 1st I should be all right.
