Kubota B7510
Own a B7510. When I turn the ignition key there normally is an audible click then the tractor will start. I am not certain what causes the click but I have been having issues with turning the key and no click or it takes awhile. Now can't get it to click hence no start. What causes the click and how do I trouble shoot or bypass to start the tractor? The tractor is in neutral and the pto is not engaged.

The click is probably the fuel solenoid opening up the valve on the injector inlet.

You can probably check this easily. Bet there are only a couple small bolts holding the solenoid to the fuel injector. Just remove it. Tractor should start without it. To shut it off, you can likely put your finger or a short screwdriver into the hole where the solenoid plunger goes to shut the engine off.

You can see if the solenoid is working by checking to see if it moves when you turn the key, with the solenoid out of the injector. Even if it moves while out of the tractor, it still could be bad, or you have an oil leak in the injector. Oil can get in behind the solenoid plunger and keep it from working.

Thanks. Bit of a novice working on this tractor but do have some mechanical ability. Where is the fuel solenoid or injector located on the engine or under the hood. Just trying to get it started to cut my grass between rains here in Tampa Bay Florida.

Most of the smaller Kubota tractors only energize the fuel stop solenoid to kill the engine and the engines will run without any power needed.

If the engine is not cranking, there has been a problem where the interlock switch circuit and switches get dirty and have high resistance and it does not conduct enough current to pull the starter solenoid in. People have gotten a kit that John Deere has to fix the problem or picked up a relay that trips at a lower voltage and that then energizes the starter solenoid.

The fuel solenoid should be located before the injection pump.

If it's not clicking it is not opening. Start out by checking and cleaning all the fuse holders as well as the relays. Next its on to all the safety switches. Make sure they are working and in the proper position. After that look at all the battery connections and cables. Then on to the ignition switch.

Thanks to all. Will start checking.

The keystop solenoid is usually attached to the fuel lever for the external solenoid or the fuel rack on the ones that bolt directly to the engine.

The fuel solenoid is not mounted to the fuel line and does not directly shut off the fuel flow using a valve.
