Starving for fuel Chanenger (Massey) M265B

Will run at full speed then looses its rpm to almost off, but picks up the rpm (fuel) again, and keeps doing it over and over, the fuel filter is clean and it has full flow of fuel.
This started after about an hour of working properly. can not find any leaks.
All cylinders are firing.
It starts, no problem..

I'm puzzled!
Found the problem! a rock in the tank, plugged to feed line.. a good excuse for a pipe from the top, instead of bottom.

Rev limiter acting up? if you very slowly try to up the RPM's will it keep going?

Where do I find the RPM limiter, did not see it in the book.
The tank seems clean, and the filter is clean, I have blown out the pipes, worked for a while
then back to it's tricks again.

Just to tell about the fix, it was a small rock, blocking the tank bottom fuel feed, a vacuum took care of the problem..

Hi. Could it be a problem with your seat safety switch that is short somewhere ??? Or try to loose your cap on the fuel thank to give it more air????Give us some update. Good luck. Roger

The rev limiter should be right at the front, unfortunately it's actually located inside the timing cover...but you can play with it with the lever that should be attached to the linkage from your throttle. The throttle goes to the rev limiter and then from the limiter to the carb....so start the tractor try and rev it up and see if the limiter is bouncing....if it is try holding it in one spot to see if it quits.

Sound like something floating in the tank and cutting out the fuel supply.
