Status of Zeteor ? Can someone update

I believe in the early 2000s there was a reorganization. Those of us here in the US know little about the product and the company. Their website has some problems locating dealers. Can someone provide and update as to where as a company they currently are at ?

We'd like to know more about this company and their products.

Zetor is a brand of tractors, trademark and Czech manufacturer based in Brno, L?eň. Since June 29, 2002, the only shareholder is a Slovak Company HTC Holding.

My Branson dealer has started carrying the Zetor brand also, I looked at a couple of them, they seemed to be decent with good features.

I don't know that you can say "those of us here in the US...." as we have a pretty good Zetor dealer here and he's moving quite a few tractors. Last time I was there he had quite a few in stock and was knowledgeable about his product.

Is there anyone out there who owns a Zeteor ? Any knowledge on the company; their products ?

There's a Branson dealer about an hour away who also carries the Zeteor line. He has a used one forsale with 1500 hours from 2002 with 68 hp and wants $25K for it. I thought that was kinda steep.

I know they got in financial trouble about 20 years ago, and I'm not sure they've recovered. Website doesn't contain much detail on their units. Thought maybe someone in TBN land might fill in some of the blanks. Maybe a dealer can chime in here.

Zetor has recovered, so much so in fact that they went to the italian design firm of Pininfarina to have them design their latest ones. I remember them before the financial problems and they had a good reputation for value. Czech machinery has a very good reputation in Europe and that's where they are concentrating their efforts, they'll slowly increase their presence in nothamerica and if they do well they'll accelerate it. I'd not be afraid to buy one.

Trillium, Thanks for the comments....I took a brief look at the website which is kinda skimpy.....I didn't see anything that explained the standard features and available option for the "Major" model. If you have any electronic literature on that, please forward to me.

There's a dealer near me who carries Branson, Deutz, and now Zeteor. I have not visited or inquired as they're about 45 miles away.

Don't have any literature alas, but the best thing is to go in person and see the tractor. The Tcheks have a long standing history of making excellent mechanical machinery.

I have many years of experience with ZETOR tractors and I can say they are very reliable both old and new models.

TYM I guess is much larger than I ever imagined.....They also make the RK Rural Kings tractors as well (I believe).
