"Stay logged in" not working?

For some reason, I am no longer staying logged in from visit to visit, even though I have the "Keep logged in" box checked when I log back in.

It's a bit of an annoyance, since when I click on the link in one of my notification emails, it decides I'm not logged in and takes me to the first post in a thread, rather than the first NEW post.

it's working fine for me on multiple machines, mostly equipped with firefox browsers.

Is it possible you're using the "private browsing" function of your browser? That might cause needed state to disappear between sessions.

Every morning I must relog in, same as you the "stay logged in" is checked.

If you have the browser not save cookies, and deletes them when you close the program. You will have to log back in...

Nothing about this site... most likely a setting "private browsing mode will clear automatically cookies and site data"

I'm using the most recent version of Firefox (87.0) for MacOS 11.2.3.
I'm not using private browsing.
I'm not blocking cookies, nor am I clearing them.

I'm using the same settings I have for years, It worked fine on the old site. Just not working on the new one.

I stay logged in all day, then the next morning, I must re-log in. I'm using the firefox thing. Not that big of a deal, but that wasn't the case with the old TBN format.

I've only logged in once on each device since the format change. I'm still logged in every time I come back using Safari to view the full website on an iPad and iPhone.

I'm using Chrome on a Mac at version 11.2.3 (20D91) and not having a problem. I've seen this happen before but the problem went away when I rebooted the Mac. Don't know if that would help here this time but worth a shot. Apple thinks completely different than the rest of the world and seems to get lost after several days without a reboot. That's my experience anyway.

I Might have gotten this working. I saw on another thread reporting the problem a suggestion to log out, close any TBN tabs, then clear the cache, history, and all cookies. I did not want to clear ALL cookies, so late last nightI cleared cache and history, then deleted just the two TractorByNet cookies I found. I then quite Firefox, re-launched it, and logged back in to TBN, making sure the "stay logged in" box was checked.

This morning, when I went to the site, I was still logged in. So hopefully, that fixed things. We'll see if it remains logged in long-term.

EDIT: came back the next day and was still logged in, so I guess that corrected the problem.
