Staying connected on the road? Best options?

Henro,

I've heard decent success stories of just pulling in to a hotel parking lot and connecting that way. A drive up to Cranberry and a bit of testing may be an option to test this. (But I wouldn't do that today with the storm rolling in)

For times when I don't have access in a hotel or airport, I just plug my cell phone into the PC and go that way. (I think the kit from Verizon is about $69). Not sure if that would work for you in Canada.
