So after a lot of advice from helpful people on
last year, I managed to get my tractor going so thank you ask very much!
It's an Antonio Cararro Trx6400.
Now I am having some new hydraulic problems... So hopefully I can get some more advice.
Basically the tractor always seems to lose power when I fully lock the wheels in either direction this had only been minimal and never been an issue before.
but now when I operate the pto with the roller mower the engine runs very unevenly sometimes it seems like it will stall. Even when cutting very thin grass. If I press the clutch the revs come back up to normal. But as soon as I let it go it can't maintain constant revs again. The pto is set up to operate independently of the engine gearbox so it I am not sure why this happens.
Also when the pto is struggling it ready exaggerates the existing power steering problem.
A couple of weeks ago when I engaged the pto after I had not used if for a month or so, there was a loud bang and it snapped a shearing bolt. I did have a look at the pto and could not see any damage, but some very fine metal filings were in the oil? Hydraulic Pump is still working ok.
I have checked the oil levels, replaced air filter and replaced the battery.
I think the alternator may have stopped working as when the tractor loses power the battery light comes in very faintly? Could this cause the symptoms above?
Sorry for the long post, but I'm trying to be as in depth as possible, I can't afford for this tractor to be out I'd action for long.
Thank you
