Steering Ball Joints for NH 1215

I need two steering linkage ball joints for a 1215 New Holland(1996). Stopped at Napa hoping they could cross reference them but had no luck. Is there anyplace to get these type of parts besides a NH dealer?

I would use a pitman remover and take a joint out during downtime (say winter), then I take it to auto part store. I bit you can find replacement. If the ball size is right then the length, Dia, and bolt size can be taken care off (modified)if you can not find exact OEM replacement.

p.s. if the ball joint is pressed hard beyond pitman, I would either make a hydraulic press out of couple of sticks of all thread and couple of pieces of uni- strut with a two ton bottle jack or use vice, anvil for support and piece of flat aluminum bar and a 4 LB hammer to drive the joint out.

Down time is now, the ball joint at the axle busted in half while moving a load of dirt. I was able to get the joint out so now looking for a replacement. Took the part into Napa thinking they would have something close. They counter guy must have been having an off day did not seem to want to look for me. I値l try another local shop tonight if not will order it from NH.

Ya know.. there is a fixed front axle, 2wd, a power steering option, and a 4wd option.. you didn't provide any of that info.. which woulda made searching easier...IE.. not looking thru 3 diagrams to find parts are the same or not.

CNH is the parts source.. i wouldn't expect there to be a huge demand for multiple aftermarket parts sources for a limited run machine like that....

Went back to NAPA and got a good counter tech this time. We spent a good 10 minutes measuring and looking through parts books. Found one tie rod end that would fit all the threads and taper but was a tad bit to long and the savings just did not justify taking a chance. I ordered the OEM parts today from a local NH dealer, $46.08 for one and $43.00 for the other. I guess thats a fair price for a part on such a small volume tractor as you stated.

Sounds like a decent price to me. I replaced a TRE on a deer 2240 a while back and it cost what you paid for the 2 of yours together.. Probably 45$ of it was the part, and the other 45$ was for the green paint...
