:confused:Well I have just over 400 hours on my 3240 and right from day one there was something that just wasn't right. After using it for over an hour or so and using the steering quite a bit (mowing or loader work) there would be a spot in the steering that would get hard to turn almost as if there was a bushing in the steering column that was binding or a ujoint that had a stiff spot.

It wasn't tied to weight on the front end because it would do it with the front wheels off the ground. I chalked it up to being new and it would eventually wear in but it began to get a bit worse every year.

Of course it just passed the 2 year bumper to bumper period by about a month when I decided to get it checked out as it was getting worse.

Received a call from the dealer and it is the power steering controller that was down on pressure and there is not a relief valve to be set back to spec.

Oh well, if anyone has a 40 series and you have a "Stiff Spot" ;)in your steering, get it checked out before the 2 year period.

The dealer went to bat for me with Kubota but he said there will be a small charge which I am expecting to be the labor but not the part.

We will see....
Just a heads up....

Well the tractor was picked up and brought back the next day good as new. I was waiting for the bill from my dealer for a while and it just never came so I dropped in to get some oil and a filter and inquired.

They covered EVERYTHING under warranty and did not even charge me to come the 45 minutes one way to pick it up and take it back!:D
All this and it was two months over the bumper to bumper portion of my warranty. This just reinforces why I bought a Kubota and from the dealer I did.

Thanks to Central Equipment in Truro Nova Scotia for their exceptional service!
I had a good feeling about them from the start and other told me they were a good dealer as well.

I love my Kubota....
Thanks CE.......

Congratulations, the hydraulic MMM lift on my John Deere 2305 went out two months after the warranty expired and I had taken it back for problems twice. John Deere wouldn't cover it as they said it was not related to the original problems...
