Two steering cylinders each with two hoses attached
Tried to raise the tractor off the ground and turn the steering wheel without warming and the steering wheel would turn but no effect on the wheels themselves
Warmed it up and they would turn well while off the ground.
That’s all for now I’ll read your thread again and get back to this thread tomorrow
We had 14 inches last couple days. Used Skidder to clear 1500 foot road to plowed rd.
Appreciate the voices helping.

Sounds like Super Steer. I am not familiar with what all is involved here other than one cylinder feeds the second one. The warming up thing is what has me baffled.

Check your power steering fluid level. My TC40DA does the same thing with no steering movement, and the PS reservoir is empty. Yours could be a little low and once the fluid warms up and expands it works again.

Let us see whether the OP is willing to answer a few questions to help us out?

Was there a problem prior to the fluid and filter change?

What replacement fluid did you use?

Is the rubber hose between the hydraulic pump and the steering pump collapsing during operation and starving the front pump (steering pump)?
Located on the right lower side of the engine.

Is it a supersteer model?

Does the 3 pt hitch raise smoothly or not?
The tractor had the issue prior to filter changes.
Super steer don’t know how to check that, but it will turn around in almost a circle with wheels almost going 90 degrees in the turning radius.
Have not checked the rubber hose collapsing or starving the pump.
With the last storm we had more leaks from our new roof.
We are not impressed.
The tractor seems to work and steer fine after 3/4-1 hours of warm up3 point hitch works fine.

We are making progress. From what I am seeing for the TC34DA parts diagrams, your model does NOT have a separate power steering reservoir, in the engine compartment. It would be a vertical black cylinder above the right side of the engine with a hose feeding the front pump. Please confirm you do not have that reservoir.

Yes, you have a super steer model.

Now we are back to the hose connecting the rear pump to the front pump. This rubber hose is supposed to be internally reinforced to prevent it from collapsing. It may appear to collapse due to cold tranny fluid not flowing fast enough to satisfy the pump. It may not show any signs of collapse due to internal wall separation. You did not advise whether this was a cold weather only issue, but I am assuming so. That hose is available through NH for about $65 ouch. Your auto parts store may have a compatible replacement for much less. Part # SBA340615950

Other remedies you may pursue include:
1- ample warmup time, after startup from cold, throttle slightly above idle, engage both PTOs if equipped, tranny in neutral and slight pedal pressure and locked there with cruise control. 20 minute minimum.

2- Invest in a transmission heating element, part # 87379951 ($85). Worst thing about this is you will have to drain tranny to install.

3- NH does have a cold weather transmission fluid which would help the cold weather flow.

Sorry, can't help with the roof. Just wondering if the roof problem involved snow blowing into the ridge vents.

SuperSteer steering operates the same as a normal steering system. What makes it different is that the axle assembly pivots with the hubs to create the tighter turning. The other difference is the tie rods are connected to the frame on each side rather than to the hubs.

I think that the low oil, cold oil and collapsing rubber line are on track.
