My steering wheel position seems to end up in a different place after some use. The knob is often not where it started out. Normal or what?
The steering system is hydrostatic, what you are noticing is entirely normal. At idle you can turn the wheel slow enough that there will be no movement in the steering cylinder.
And it's not unique to Kubota HST's... my JD 4105 does the same. Although, like you, it took me a while to notice that it was happening so your question has merit. It's also the reason I never considered or bought a 'suicide knob' for it; there's no point in having one.
Ya..I dont really care where it ends up. I use it all the time. They use to call those necker knobs. You could neck with a girl and drive at the same time. I dont think they are lawful in a car.
