I put a Kencove PD80 on my Kubota BX25 today and all was well until I went to plug in the hydro. The driver controller has two 1/2 npt lines and a 3/4 npt return line. I made a custom adapter in the hydro res for the 3/4 npt that fits snug but I can’t find any 1/2 thread with 1/4 connectors for the male & female connectors. Anyone know where these can be acquired? Probably should have seen this prior but the thrill of pounding some post instead of my auger with a tapping rod was alluring and distracted my common sense for a few days.

You're probably going to have to use couplings and bushings to get from the 1/2" to 1/4" Be sure to use hydraulic fittings and not just iron plumbing fittings on the pressure side. Curious how this works out. Looks like a lot weight up high for a little tractor. Are you going to be able to pick it up high enough?

Not exactly sure of you problem but there is a whole host of hydraulic plumbing fitting that may solve you problem...

Great links...thank you. However, I have yet to find a 1/2 female to 1/4 male so I can place my Kubota 1/4 quick connect on it. On the weight question, it carried it much better than my heavy heavy bush hog. If I can solve the step down issue I'm ready to pound some posts.

Think I would prefer steel.... 1200 PSI may be less than you hydraulic system is capable of... And then there is the price factor...

Your BX should be putting out about 2000 PSI so go with the steel fittings.

Roger...steel it is. Thanks folks. I'll update with some photos when I pound a few 6 inchers into the ground.

This worked out way better than I anticipated. Slammed about 25 6" posts in a few a few hours. Still have a few hundred left... Took between 15-20 slams to put the 8 footer at shoulder height. Now I just need to find a 1/4 spliter so I don't have to keep plugging the supply line to the pounder and back to the 3 pt to move to the next hole. I'll never use an auger again...

You need to search "selector valve".
