Hi All,
I have a Stiga Park 4WD and a Stiga Flail for a 2WD machine. Because the 4WD Stiga has a drive axle in the way, the belt that normally comes from the articulation point and twist by 90 degrees to connect to the flail, can not be used.
Stiga modified the later versions of the flails to have a horizontal pulley to be able to receive the normal belt from the 4WD pulley - front of the forward drive axle.
Conceptually, the only difference between the 2WD and 4WD flails is a 1:1, 90 degree gearbox.
Has any one:
1) tried to use the 2WD flail on a 4WD machine with any success?
2) tried installing a gearbox on the flail to replicate Stiga's solution?
Many thanks in advance.
