How can it be so difficult? And if it is unsolvable, maybe a spot where you can place a tampon. That still would not address the cost of oil loss though, just the mess.

Stihl prices vary quite a bit depending on the country- they're usually significantly lower in the US than in most of the European countries. This saw will probably cost less than that if and when it makes it here. They often roll out new tech in their cutoff saw (that's what they did with Mtronic) and indeed there's a TS500i available in the US. But sometimes it's years between the cutoff saw and chainsaws in the US.

Two stroke fuel injection presents some different problems than four stroke. For one, the injector has to fire twice as fast, which has been a problem in some past designs. There have been some successful ones though, including the current KTM enduro two strokes.

German prices include the Mehrwertstauer AKA Value Added Tax. I believe in the EU is is 19%.
