Kubota L3400
HI all,

I bought an old Kubota L-175 and have a problem/question. I have contacted three different Kubota dealers in my area about a ROPS for the tractor and I can't get an answer from any of them. I originally contacted my closest dealer and he did say that he didn't believe that a ROPS was available. A reply to my previous post led me to the Kubota site which shows that a ROPS was made for the tractor. I contacted the dealer again and told him about the info on the web site he said he would get back to me. Well he hasn't contacted me in a week, nor have the other two dealers in the area. An e-mail to Kubota hasn't been answered either. I feel that if I could just get a part number that I might be able to find out if this ROPS is still available. Any suggestions or advice would be helpful. This is a good little tractor and I want to feel confortable about using it. I know that the ROPS is cheap insurance against mistakes but still not a substitute for sensible operational safety. All the same I would still like one.

Perhaps a welder, some schedule 80 pipe and the proper weldelets would make a roll bar much faster and perhaps cheaper than the official version that may be out od date and not manufactured anymore.

The ROPS number for the L175 should be an SFL-22 H K S. See if this helps your dealer find one for you. Hope this helps. Lewis

Contact the people at TractorSmart.com (423-928-0261) and tell them what you're after.
If anyone can help, they can - and they're in Tennessee.

Being that you are in the South and race car country you might look for local race car builder if you can't get a Kubota ROPS. I did this for an old Chevy Blazer in the Atlanta area.

I am glad you are searching for some kind of ROPS. You may never need it but then again you only have to need it one time.
