Still stingy on fuel

The B2601 remains stingy on fuel. Up to 12 gallons now at 32.7 full up to fill tube: 0.014 gph/engine hp. This is vs. 0.025 gph/engine hp for 3 Yanmar JDs.

Sounds as stingy as my 650 KLR. 70+ mpg average.

My gauge is different. It is based on whether I can stand to run the thing as long as it can stand to run. Usually not a very tight contest.

Now at 16 gallons for 42.7 hours and still less fuel consumption than my first 18.5 hp diesel JD.

My first fill on a new L2501HST at 8.3 hours was roughly 3 gallons by my estimate. I used one 2.5 can plus part of another so I can't say that it was exactly three gallons. This is with hardly any load on the tractor for most of those hours to maybe an hour of plowing the garden in low range for planting.
