I suppose it can happen to anyone, and I reckon it's my turn :( Anyway, I didn't see a specific thread for stolen mahindra equipment, so I figured I would start one, maybe help some other folks out, maybe help me.

I'd like to keep it relatively fact-based, and those affected (myself included) can lament their bad luck in other threads (makes this one more easily searchable). But, this is the internet, and I know how those ideals usually end up, soo... :cool2:

Anyway:

What: 2012 Max28hst, loader and hoe attached. 109.5 hours (probably 110+ or so by now)
Where: Montgomery Alabama, off of highway 82 from the dealer
When: Some time during the night of 5/18/2015 or early early AM 5/19/2015
Also taken: Apparently it went with a brand new UTV on a large new equipment trailer behind their F250 (unknown year or color on those items, just what I know)
Serial number: 28MH121060654 loader was a ML205 SN 215222 Hoe was an MB63A SN 1242
Distinguishing features Aside from some sun fading of the paint (hadn't buffed and waxed it yet this year), nothing particularly outstanding that I'll post here, however there are couple oddities should someone come across it that I could potentially identify it by.

On the off chance anyone sees it or has any information, you're welcome to PM me and we'll discuss it, or by all means contact the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office (334) 832-7771

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

Just curious. Whose insurance company will cover your loss -- yours or the dealers?

Steve

I believe the dealer's on the hook since it was locked up on their lot and in for service at the time of the disappearance.

I always thought that equipment was left at owners risk, inside or out. They assume you have insurance.

they may try and say that (not my dealer who so far has said it'll be handled one way or another, but "they" in general), but legally, they took it in, it's in their control, they're responsible for it period. And if it had to go to court, that's more than likely how that would go down. That's what *they* have insurance for ;)

I have, and spoken with a couple lawyer buddies as well (casually). Also went up to the dealer and talked to the service mgr friday about it, their story with regards to what they're going to do hasn't changed yet so hopefully things stay the course. They've been up front about it so far, so no complaints here beyond the obvious ;)

Does anyone use LoJack on their equipment?
