Stone Finger Grab Advice Sought

Hi All DYI'ers

I want to build a stone grab as per sketch. I have a ute crane and intend to mount it on the 3pt hitch of my tractor and attach stone grab to the crane.
The whole purpose of the exercise is to be able to lift, carry and place stones (<250 -300kg) on a stone wall build. The crane is rated 400kg at full extension (5ft) and 900kg at 3.5ft and has the thrust bearings to accommodate these loads on the swivel.

Would appreciate any advice etc. Sorry no dimensioning as yet but envisage grab opening of 350 - 400mm.

All of the rock tongs I've seen have three fingers or two with wide pads. Just two will allow the rock to turn and twist depending on exactly where you grab it.

I've been collection photos for build ideas. Here are some.

A person could find more uses for something like that, picking steel, parts, wood etc.. I like the smaller one hanging off the backhoe bucket, lower center.
