Kubota BX2200
I went to my local Kubota dealer to get fluids and filters for the 50 hr service on my BX 2200. The HST filter he gave me was the correct number but the price he quoted was $31! I knew that this was way off the mark from what I have read here and I challenged his price which he said was "right out of the book". After much discussion and a call to the next closest dealer who sold the filter for $12, he honored the lower price. Prices on the other items were OK.

The 50 hour service went slow, but was straight forward. I put Rotella 15W40 in the engine and super UDT in the HST. There were a few metal shavings on the strainer, but otherwise everything looked OK.

i also had a similiar thing happen. i bought two solid tires for a finish mower. the next year
i went back, and bought two more. the price on the last two was a lot less than the first
two. the parts man said if i could find the first bill he would make an adjustment, but i could
not find it. this has always bothered me, how do we know they are not overcharging us?
we don't.

I also have one, A set of rear chains for a BX was quoted as $250.00 for the set. The dealer then sold me 4 R4 tread tires and rims for $292.00 including the shipping.

R4's for the BX???? I havent seen these available. Could you post a pic of them? The price seems very good also...was it a special deal? At that price I might consider a set for winter. Either R4's or ags if i can find a good deal...

Maybe the R4 name is a wrong description. They are the other set of tires that are sold for the BX that are not the turf tires. I purchased the set of 4 tires and wheels for 252.00 plus the shipping, 44.00. It may have been a special price because I had bought the tractor from him. If you would like his # in NY email me.

It depends on how the dealer orders them. If they are ordered through the parts department they are very expensive, if ordered through "whole goods" by the sales department, the $300 for four tires and wheels mounted and ready to go is correct. I call them baby Ags. They are so easy to switch that's what I do on my BX.

When I started calling around I was quoted $900, $700 and a few other prices before I hit $300. $300 seemed great so I went for it. I hope nobody posts that their 4 wheels and tires were $100, I'll just get depressed/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.
