Hiya,
I hear ya on the getting on and off the 430, mine has the deluxe suspension seat and there is not a lot of room between the steering wheel and seat. I normally get on it like I'm getting on a motorcycle and swing a leg over the seat, when I get off, I throw a leg over the steering wheel and step on the deck on the way off. OK, taking the deck off
1) Start it up, raise the deck up, shut it off
2) Take the pins out of the rear wheel mounts, turn both rear wheels sideways, put the pins back in locking the wheels in place again.
3) If you have a floor jack, lower the deck, if not, take the left side front wheel off, then lower the deck.
4) Up front, pull the locking pin on the inside of front lift arms on the lefthand side and lock it in the retracted position, pull the handle down and release it from the frame
5) Unhook the 2 front lift arms from the front of the deck by pulling the "U" hooks out and locking them in the open position
6) Undo the 2 mid lift pivots from the frame (the ends of the long yellow lift arms that go from the rear of the deck up to the frame area above the front of the deck)
7) Undo the pins from the 2 rear lift straps
8) Take the PTO shaft off the shaft of the tractor
9) If you left both front wheels on the deck, get your floor jack out, lift up the tractor about a foot and roll the deck out to either side, if not, slide it out to the right.
10) your done!
I know it sounds like a lot but it goes quick once you do it a couple times. The 60" deck is a beast, it weighs almost 400 Lbs so be careful.
