Stripping Paint off Loader--- HOW?

Have an old Massey 184-4 with a 236 loader. The tractors in great shape but the loader had quite a few spots of surface rust. A few years ago I painted over it. It looks good from a distance but up close you can still see the difference in paint thickness. What is the best way to sand it down? Fastest, easiest etc. I'm really just worried about the flat areas and don't want to take it all off for sandblasting etc.

If it's weathered paint, paint stripper will take it off like nothing. Just do it on a windless humid day.
