NH TZ24DA
Hi,

I can't get my NH TZ24DA to run full throttle (30K) to cut grass without jamming pieces of wood under the throttle level to keep it forward or holding the lever with one hand. The best it will do without intervention is 20K, too slow to mow. The lever just wants to spring back. Has anyone else had this problem, and any thoughts on how to fix it? THANKS.
Dave

Yep, and it's not a "simple" fix, though it is free. My TZ25 did the same thing. There is a nylon bushing and cone washer on the pivot of the lever. You need to take apart the dash enough to be able to get at the locknut on the pivot and add a little more pressure to it. Find a skinny enough wrench and you MAY be able to do it through the slot.

While on the throttle note, pop the hood and check the throttle cable where it enters the dash from the engine compartment. Mine chaffed through the sleeve where it rubs on the steel firewall, allowing water to enter, which froze when it got cold out. I sealed it, wrapped it, added wiring loom and then zi[ tied it up in a larger opening.

Then I traded the unit for a 2035. :D
