Stuck float. Pt425 w/Robin

A while back I posted about a stuck carb float flooding my crankcase, I resolved the issue by adding a fuel shutoff. I am still running rich and want to resolve the core problem. If I take apart the carb to access the floats can I re-use the gasket? Do I need a rebuild kit? I don't think they sell just that one gasket.

Dear Hogi,

As a general rule, you don't want to reuse gaskets or orings. They tend to have hardened into a location and when you reuse them, they often don't have enough spring left to seal.

I would go with the rebuild kit. :)

All the best,

Peter
