Just started my tractor up it's a gc1715 and my throttle is stuck. Is there something I'm missing? It worked perfectly fine two days ago?

Please help it only has 92hr on it.

How cold is it by you? Might there be water in the control cable from rain or pressure washing? That could freeze and immobilize the control.

5 degrees and I bet you are right.

Great, I hope it’s something cheap and simple to fix. Beware of using flame to remedy this.
A light bulb or hairdryer applied for 20 minutes or more, might restore your joy.

I used white lithium and sprayed it within the liner. It worked!

I plan on injecting antifreeze within tomorrow.

I am a fan of graphite powder in situations like this.
Hopefully the lithium and/or antifreeze won’t dry out or form some gunk/sludge that could cause problems way down the road.

Gotta love those easy fixes.
Throttle froze once on me I use antifreeze spray you can spray windshield.

Umm, there should not be any way moisture to get in throttle cable other than condensation... Might look a bit at how throttle cable is mounted and if there any dist/moisture caps on sleeve that may need replacing...

I will keep a eye on mine this winter being it is in a unheated shop/garage although I have been using my Kerosene heater awhile before I try starting it these last few weeks, is it also possible to blow some air thru the cable to blow out any condensation? I will poke at mine next time I go out to the shop.

The way the cable is mounted on GCs, rain can get into the cable at the top from sitting on the dealers lot. Run a hair dryer along the line. It's likely frozen up on the underside where water can collect. Inject the line from the top with a mix of diesel and antifreeze until that mixure pushes through the bottom of the cable.
