3-Point Hitch stump grinder on PTO shaft for BX1860?

I have like 4 stumps to grind, is there like stump grinder on PTO shaft for Bx1860 size tractor, I can rent or buy if it is cheap? I need some ideas from the Gurus here

Rent a grinder from a rental center, or hire it done. It is reasonably dangerous work. Your pto hp is 13 and a smidge. No reason to bother with it, imo.

I have 5 to do and rather than buy one for my BX24 I will rent one for 100.00 this weekend. Cheap enough and its not something I will probably ever use again. I would have duy them with the BH but I didnt want a 4 foot hole in my lawn when an 8 inch hole will do.

I rented one last year to do 4 stumps. If I recall, the unit had a 20hp Honda GX motor. Though a gas motor, more hp than what's available at my 1860 PTO. Don't think I could have rented one around here for my BX.

Here's a model that requires a 15-25 hp tractor, but good luck finding one locally to buy or rent.

It's the SC25 unit Iowa Farm Equipment -- Shaver 3-Point & Skid Steer Stumpgrinders Weighs in at 780 lbs, so your BX might not lift it.

Looks like I will just rent a small standalone one from the equipment rental and used it and return it too

I rented one last week-$100. A Husqvarna...13 HP engine. Thing worked great. Only problem with the one I rented was it wasn't self-propelled...YIKES! Had to drag it all over the place, up and down hills. Had to hand-winch it up the ramps back into the truck when done.

Took 20 minutes or so to get the hang of it because I couldn't see the grinding wheel and where it was making contact. Soon realized you have to do it by feel. Also finally figured out the brake is to lock one wheel only so that it helps you pivot it left to right as you grind. Try it for 8 hours and see if you don't sleep well that night!:laughing:

That is indeed a cool attachment...not sure my BX25 could handle it, though. Wish they had bigger photos, or, better yet, a video of the thing in action. Yeah, wonder what something like that costs.
