Stunned by the tragedy in Conneticut

As a grandfather of seven children, I can't imagine what these parents are going through. Of all the targets to choose, why precious innocent children?
I haven't been to church in a long time, put tonight, I think I'll get on a knee and thank God for my grandkids, and for those taken away in this senseless act.

It was the gun that made him do it. Without guns no one would ever get killed==criminals that is. Was talking to an old gentleman in Walmart today about the violence we are seeing in schools and he told me about a photo of an Israeli school teacher who was photographed with a machine gun strapped across her shoulder and a caption about death in schools due to terrorist attack, 0 then a stat on how many had been killed in USA.
The liberal gun control guys have all the TV networks sewn up spouting off about how no guns would mean no gun violence when all the stats say otherwise. Places with concealled carry laws have less violence (rapes, murder, robberies )from gun related crimes than those places like New York City and other places that have strick laws on ownership of guns.. Mexico is another example, only the lawless have guns other than single shot shotgun and look at the murders they have there, some places even the cops are scared to go for fear of being shot.

I have only one grandchild, but cannot understand how anyone can hurt the innocent. Prayer to the victims, families and survivors. I also will be extra thankfull when we get to keep our grandson this weekend.
