First, thanks for the simple sign up procedure. You are miles ahead of all the other guys. How much stuff do I have to remove to replace the drive belt? The deck is off and the tractor is standing on it's butt. (cherry picker)
Next, how do I put oil in the gearbox?

the engine pulley may have to come off as well as the idler pulleys depending on how much clearance there is between the pulley and the belt guides. as far as transmssion lube it is a sealed unit and is not serviceable as far as adding lube.

:welcome: Tom

Do you have an operators manual that can help with your belt change?
Can you post a pic of the tractor underside? JDparts shows this "drive" belt as the traction belt and likely the first step is to release the spring #17 that holds tension on the idler #29

It wasn't really all that bad. The wire belt guides on the idler pulleys (but not the pulleys themselves), the parking brake lever and the engine pulley (slip fit). That killer spring for the clutch can stay in place if you depress the clutch pedal and hold it with a C-clamp. Not as bad as I feared.

ps Oil can be added thru the neutral safety switch hole.
