Come Monday, the wife and I will be married 23 semi blissful years.
She has today off and I have today off. The child (8 years old) has a half day at school, but is going to a party and sleep over after school.
So what do we do to celebrate with the house all to ourselves?
We notice that we have had more than 12 inches of rain this month, with more on the way. The grass is knee high in the pastures and the yard looks like it could hide several old cars It hasn't really rained in 4 days, so it is almost dry enough to mow.
The wife gets on the tractor and I get our the mower. Seven hours later of bush hogging, rider mower, push mower and weed eater, the place is mostly under control.
