sub soiler for rock removal?

TSC has a resonable price on a subsoiler. I just need a hook to get rocks -1 foot or so in dia. out of the ground.
Is there a better option?

You will probably bend the TSC subsoiler doing that. I slightly bent mine just going through hard clay. The frame for the top link is now slightly buckeled on mine. I plan or renforcing it.

A couple rocks, or many?? I've dug around 500 + pounders with a shovel and pull them out with the tractor. If you have many, it might be
better to rent a backhoe for a day. Is it cropland, woodland, pasture?
How deep? I've also used a 3 point scoop, but shovels worked better
for us cheapskates !!

I don't think a subsoiler will do the job. I've a good one and it's hit many a biggun but never pulled one up.

Thanks guys. Appears the subsoiler isn't the answer.
Fossil, at this point, only one arm functioning. I make a lousy shoveler.
I'm in Maine. Been clearing rocks from my land for 35 years and they just keep coming.
I think they grow here.

Yea, the freeze-thaw cycle just keeps bringing them up.
Sorry about your arm. Hope you get better.
Just a thought - if the rocks are close to the surface, is there
an old chisel plow around to at least loosen them? Wouldn't
have to be a full set chisel, just two or three shanks might be
enough, depending on your situation. Again, just a crazy thought.
