Sub soiler question

I bought a subsoiler for my Kubota B7500, cat 1 hitch from Tractor supply only to find it is way too long for the height of my tractor, with the 3 point hitch raised all the way, I would have to dig a 6" hole just to get it on !
I thought any cat 1 impliment would fit, live and learn. I don't see any shorter size for them, any ideas ? like cut it and re weld it up 8" or so ?

Also a second problem from this newbe, I bought the 3 point quick hitch from Harbor Freight and find that my impliments hit the top part of the frame before going in enough for the top pin, I need that top hook to stick out away from the frame a little more, any ideas for that ? You older Guys must think us newbe's are a riot.

Here's a photo of my B7510HST with the middle buster I got from TSC.

It's a middle buster/subsoiler combo, the orange-painted XB series from King Kutter for SCUTs. No problem fitting it on the 3pt.

Is this what you have? Or is it one of those yellow subsoilers from KKs "standard" product line?

Don't know about that HF QA thingy.

I can mount the standard KK middle buster on my 15hp Mitsubishi and have plenty of ground clearance.

You are not configured correctly on your 3pt to get ground clearance.

Yes it looks somewhat like your middlebuster but add 8" longer from the 3 pt bottom arms down, mine is the yellow one from Tractor supply.

Is there any way you can post a photo of your sub soiler mounted with your 3pt at its highest setting? I'm thinking your upper limit switch is set too low...
On my Kubota b7100, the lower links are 18" off the ground when in the fully raised position. What's yours?

OK, I will check the measurement after work today, that tractor picture looks just like my tractor but that top bar looks like it is way longer that mine, I am wondering if I extended mine out like that, would the subsoiler face in toward the tractor at a 45 degree angle instead of outward at a 45 and not hook on ?

I did take pics and the measurements but was not able to get the pics on here, the lower pins on the 3 point hitch all the way up measures 24" straight down to the ground, and the subsoiler measures around 28" straight down when it's on, I would be digging a 2" deep trench at all times.
As I said that is with the subsoiler going back at an angle and my top connecting rod is about as short as it can be, should that arm be ajusted out like yours in the picture to make the subsoiler angle in toward the tractor, I think if I did that the subsoiler blade would be at an up angle.
I think this subsoiler would look and work great if it was 4"-6" inches shorter.

I have a similar situation with my Kubota L2800 and a Howse combination middle buster and subsoiler. This uses the same mounting frame but has a separate shank for the middlebuster and another for the subsoiler. The shank the middlebuster furrow is mounted on is shorter than the shank for the subsoiler. The MB rides several inches off the ground and the SS digs in with the 3pt hitch raised all the way up. It appears to me the a subsoiler shank is just plain longer and I would have to cut 6" off the top of the shank and re drill the mounting holes to keep it from dragging the ground.

I just figured if you needed a subsoiler you were digging so what did it matter if it was a little long.

i turn my top hook up side down on two of my 3 point attchment. since i too had that trougle with the hf quick hitch

I have the same subsoiler on my TC31. With my three point all the way up I have about 1 inch of ground clearance. I tear up a little grass but for pulling pipe it has been wonderful.

I can not get a picture on here, but, yours looks just like mine, I measured from the lower pin holes on the 3 point hitch it is 24" to the ground and the subsoiler is around 27", It won't be easy but I was thinking of cutting the subsoiler half way down and drilling holes to make the height ajustable. what does anyone think of that ?

I have the quick connect hitch from Harbor Freight to be honest I am trying to figure out a use for it. I think it is pretty well useless for a hitch. It only fits certain size implements. Way too much trouble to rebuild the three point hitch on my different implements to get them standardized for that device. I bought a Pats quick hitch works much better.

I also bought the HF quick hitch and I like the idea but the hook does not extend out from the frame enough for my stuff either, the attachments at the top hit the frame of the QH before they are in enough to get hooked, the hook should have been made a bit longer, ( font to back ) so that it extends out from the frame more, I contacted HF and they have no adapters etc.
I'm not sure if I have enough room on it's frame to trim some off or not, I need to trim off some of the front of the frame but leave enough for the bolt holes.
