i just bought a tarter middle buster and wanted the use of a subsoiler with the middlebuster and went to my local store where i bought the middle buster and came to find out that i have to special order the subsoiler point that tarter makes so i was looking around and decided to see the subsoilers and the arm that goes down in the ground from the subsoiler is different than the middle buster it is at a 90 degree angle compared to the 45 degree angle of the middle buster and the dimensions are not the same. so i came to the conclusion that for this to work i would have to order the point and cut the back half of it off to make it fit to the middle buster does anybody have experience with what im facing thank you

I came from the opposite direction on that issue: sub-soiler then bought a middle buster. Probably a slight difference that would matter if you were pulling with a large hp tractor. Since the top link adjusts your digging layer it shouldn't really matter. The sub-soiler shank is likely double ended for wear. You would just be sacrificing one end.

thats what i thought also i just wanted some opinions on the situation. thisens hopefully calls tomorrow with the price but in the mean time i put a cultivator sweep in place of the middlebuster and it works pretty sweet u can attach alot of things to those i have found.
