Well 20 hours on my new Kubota M7060 and my Suction Control Valve went bad. Tractor will not start. My local dealer is great, got the part in 3 days and should have it up and running soon. Any other Kubota Owners having trouble with this?

See attached Diagnostic code page for P0089 SCV bad i.e. Suction Control Valve

The engine computer would have detected the problem.

.... good question Dave. The engine tech from my dealer came to my ranch, hooked up his computer, and made the diagnosis. Turns out it was spot on. New part came in a few days, dealer installed it and now back to normal. Still wondering ... anyone else having issues with suction control valves? Seems odd with a new tractor.

Your fuel system problems are just beginning, that system runs with a negative supply pressure to the high pressure fuel pump which leads to cavitation within the fuel system. Eventually, if used under high horsepower loads, it will lead to loss of power and possibly a misfire. Kubota dealers are usually great, but get stonewalled by the Kubota technical people. I have the test data.

Any suggestions on a fix?

At the time I had the problem the injectors were causing intermittent misfire and low power, this was before Kubota issued the service bulletin to replace injectors on that model. My friendly Kubota dealer offered to trade me out of that tractor for an M5-091, giving me exactly what I paid for the M7060. My other choice was to install a different fuel pump to provide positive fuel pressure to the high pressure pump, the M5 is designed to have positive fuel pressure to the high pressure pump. I don't know what caused your failure, but I do know that cavitation is a problem in a common rail fuel system that isn't provided positive pressure, my information comes from dynamometer loaded mode testing of diesel engines using data acquisition.
