Suction Hose For MCS System:

Question for you guys out there... Do any of you have a source for the large diameter suction hose that runs from the boot on the mower deck to the intake on the blower housing on the power pack? JD only sells it in specific lengths (for secific decks) and I was thinking that I'd like to be able to make a kind of "vacum wand" that I could use during spring and fall clean-ups to suck up debris from the beds etc.

Trac-Vac makes a kit that lets you hookup to a vac system. Every so often they are listed on EBAY. Price is high though. I have one for my Trac-Vac. It is great for cleaning up leaves from the flower beds.

Wynn Environmental Has some, I get my dust collection hose and filters from them.

ACKBill, if you have a harbor freight stor around they sell a DC kit that includes two pieces of 20' 4" hose. It is real nice quality flex hose for the money and it will also come with several connections and blast gates. Also Woodcraft sells 10' sections for about $20 ea.
