Suggestions on which pop rivet tool?

Redoing guttering/downspout. Will need to buy a pop rivet tool.

Like to get a nice one

Thoughts on brands to look at?

Aluminum rivets if that makes any difference.

I've had need for one of these before and borrowed it... am prepared to make this my excuse to get one.

I have a Marson manual pop rivet tool. Had it forever and has never given me a moments problem. Use it with aluminum, steel & stainless steel rivets of all sizes.

I too have a Marson (actually have 2) manual tool. Owned for many years without and problem. I don't do a lot of riveting so the manuals work fine.

I bought one in thailand while building a cover for my brother in law's air conditioner. I also have the $5 job from harbor freight. I just built my cab using both steel and aluminum rivets, I went through about 200 of them. Both guns worked flawlessly, they're relatively a simple concept.

I did go through about 20 drill bits when drilling through the aluminum and steel sheeting.

I have a Marson manual, and a Marson manual "Big Daddy" (a brute of a tool).
Both are excellent quality.

I have couple of manual Craftsmans and a Central Pneumatics air hydraulic riveter. They all work fine.

I've got three tools. The original PoP rivet tool that does up to 3/16" rivets and a bigger one that does 1/4" steel or aluminum rivets. Both work well. A few years back I bought an air powered units for big jobs. I'm a Ham and many antennas are assembled with Pop rivets. The air powered unit makes it a lot easier. I believe I got it at Harbor Freight.
