I purchased the 5310 2 months ago planning to use it for pre-emergent herbicide applications in orchards. It did not come w a device to hold the forward pedal at a set level of depression nor a speedometer. Just last week I discovered and bought from my dealer the device w which the forward petal is set at a chosen depression distance/location thereby controlling the speed. For about $200 I also bought from sensor-1.com a gps speedometer.
But our attempts to make this work have me thinking this may NOT work. Despite our tinkering the speed jumps around too much. Speed control does not need to be perfect, and not super slow but perhaps as slow as 1.5 mph and can vary 0.2 to 0.3 during the application. All assuming flat ground which is where we are trialing.
Most any standard transmission 50 hp tractor can do this perfectly. Is this likely to work w my Kioti? Did I buy the wrong tractor?
