Suitcase weights on box blade and slot bar on FEL

I have been combing through the posts and using the search function to find two posts that showed pictures of two neat ideas. They were:
1) someone welded a rack on their box blade to put their suitcase weights on to add weight. This seems like an excellent idea?
2) someone fabricated an angle iron piece with vertical slots on it and boted it to the top of their FEL bucket. The slots are for hanging chains for various uses instead of hooks.

Both of these posts included attached image files. I can't find them- most of my hair is torn out. Can anyone help???? Thanks in advance.

I don't know how much this will help, but I remember the slotted piece for chain attachment. I know it was shown here more than once since I asked about it and the owner kindly reposted it for me. As I recall, it was a simple idea (aren't most of the best ones?) with a piece of angle iron with one face slotted wide enough for chain and the other face welded to the top edge of the bucket. I think if you look under 'bucket hooks' you might find the picture you want.

I'm no help on the bar for suitcase weights on a box blade. I don't remember that one but I've thought about something like that, myself. I hope you find that so I can see it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I saved this picture from a while back. Looking at it again, it looks like you could just use two pcs. of angle iron rather than slotting one leg.

Don't know if this will help, but go to the link below and look at the top of my bucket. I used a piece of angle iron, with some additional bracing as well....should be much stronger.

Guys, this is just what I was looking for! Thanks to all of you (Danny, Fred, Gary) who posted replies on the bucket chain attachment. Also, I spent about 15 minutes admiring the neat upgrades that Danny put on his tractor. I will never achieve that level of innovation or expertise- especially with hydrolics, but it is neat to know of others who have! TBN is an amazing forum with people who do amazing things!

I had not thought about that! I have three suitcase weights behind the shed I was trying to figure how to get rid of. Now I'll use them on my scraper!

My box scraper is lighter than the Gannon rollover scraper I used before. Although I like the box scraper better as an all around tool, the weight of the Gannon rollover was nice sometimes.
