summer/winter diesel conditionners

I just came back from the JD dealership. I bought the winter conditionner (same chemical as summer + anti-gel).

Since the price for both types of conditionners is the same, I do not understand why having 2 types ?
Why not having the one with the anti-gel only ? Or is it because the anti-gel one does some 'funnies' in the summer ?

I use Stanadyne year round. Plus 100 or minus 35, it's never failed me.

summer formula is mainly cleanup dose and also lubrication in higher concentrations in the winter time anti-gelling products are added while lessening the cleaning and lubrication products in the mix. basicaly the mixture ratio and concentration of cleaning,lubrication and anti-gel product in the mix.
