Sun block for tires! Anyone?

Has anyone ever heard of "Sun Block for Tires", or better yet, used this product? My trailers sit outside year round with limited use. Just wondering if I should be doing something to prevent the tires from dry rotting? Thanks and any other advice about prepping trailers, would be appreciated.

Hello Carl,

You have the same issues I do with mine and this will be my first winter with it.

I will probably block up the axles and take the tires off of my dump trailer
as well as the battery and store them indoors out of the sun and bag and
tape the hubs tight for the winter.

You could also go to an RV store and buy tire covers too.

Google "Areospace 303", its suppose to be a sunblock type material. I use it on my dashes and such and like it.

+1 I use this also Great stuff not greasy or shiny last along time too!! It's made for the boating enviroment!!

I had a friend who laid a piece of plywood against each tire to shade it. He said it helped.

Yes it is BUT it isn't a cure all it won't turn your tractor ORANGE!!!!
